Looking at a used 25-06, but want to convert to 7mag. Does anyone know if it's a simple task, and if it's simply changing Bolt or complete BCG and barrel? Thank you

The magazine length is shorter than will accommodate a 7rem mag. You would be better off picking up a new bn36 long range in 7 rem mag for around 2200$. They are coming out with their updated bn36x long range assassin that has lighter recievers, handgaurd, and fluted barrel in may so the older models can be found new at bargain prices. Check out gunbroker and call the ffl in Anita Iowa that has listings on there and you can negotiate a better price.
