Maggie’s North Koreans trying American BBQ

I consider Maggies for more positive stuff so I am putting this here. I don't really consider the average pheasant in NK to be my enemy. This might be a little long, but I find it interesting. Food makes friends, and American BBQ is at the top of the list.

I like this. The average person in North Korea isn't really our enemy and actively looking to harm us, they're just brainwashed and doing what their government tells them. There's a couple other videos like it where they try different foods with different people, its cool to watch people bond over food.

"Everybody" is a people until they remove themselves from societal convention.

Supposedly it taste like chicken .......

Ask the chinks how you wok your dog? They’ll tell you with onions and a little garlic. When I was in Japan years ago I also saw some of the shit they ate that would make a billy goat puke. Who ever coined the phrase “when in Rome do as the Romans” when it comes to food can go get fucked.

I get that, to a point. In the video if you watch, one of the North Koreans explains it. Dogs are looked at like livestock. Brainwashed yes, savages meh i don't think so.
The video is a little more than just "eating BBQ"
No I totally get it. They regard them differently. I mean we slaughter cows and the revere them for their labor. It’s no different. Doesn’t mean I agree. Hopefully they are a little more humane in the slaughter than the Chinese fucksticks during their dog meat festival.

Burnt ends... What do you do with the burned up ends of meat that you can’t sell? Slather them in sauce and sell them anyway...

Dog meat (and bison tongue) was the preferred fare on Lewis snd Clark’s voyage of discovery. They would trade with the natives for dogs-not for companionship or work, but because they ate better than any game animal. Can’t say that I’ve tried it, but this is documented in Lewis’ record of the journey.

I’ve had neither of the above. Beef tongue is delicious when done correctly.
