Gunsmithing North Texas Gunsmith to do Barrel work

got my RAD brake for my 700 AAC-SD and I need to take some timing off of the threads so the brake bottoms out properly on the barrel.

Can anyone recommend a North Texas gunsmith that can do this for me, and might not have a 4 month backlog?

Anything wrong with putting a plastic washer on first, about .002 thick to take up the timing until I get get it properly cut?

Gene Williams in Princeton Texas has done some work for me and I was impressed. He works out of his house but has really nice equipment. 214-673-5510

It won't be a quick conversation. The man is one of the best gunsmiths I've ever met and he really enjoys talking. He's a wealth of information, you won't be disappointed in his work.

Too funny. You're right on the conversation being long. I've used Gene on several guns. Does super work and the turn around time and price are always great. You can't go wrong using Gene. Be prepared to visit.
