Interested in hearing opinions on Nosler brass.

Is the quality there ?

Price is up there….bordering on Lapua level.

I see it available at times….

To be fair I reckon, the gasser Noslers were bad for tearing up brass from what I have read and heard. Maybe not a fair comparison to use a case with a rebated head compared to a standard case. Iffin I read right and understand right, rebated case heads are a weak point in brass design and can lead to damage easier. Somebody can add to or correct me if I am far off the plotted course.

I think it really depends on what caliber you are buying.
Most of the Nosler brass i have used has been the Nosler Custom brass ( 308win, 243win, 270win, 300wm) its very high quality and fulled prepped and weight sorted but overly expensive in my opinion.
It is also all made by Norma unless something has changed.
Some of or most of the AR stuff is mostlikely made by Nosler on SSA machinery and tooling since Nosler bought them out.

Only have a couple firings on my first try with Nosler 6.5 Creedmor Brass, but so far so good. I do anneal each time, so hopefully they will last. Can tell you I ordered 4 bags of 100, & was shipped two bags each of differing lot numbers. The consistently in weight within lot were satisfactory for my needs, but they were a little far apart for my liking between the two lots. I’ll just run one lot till the croak, & switch to the other. Shot my first PRS Match over the weekend, & did ok for never practicing any of the positions. Finished in 75 percentile, so at least I wasn’t last 😆. I call it a success! The pic below was my load data i decided on that I verified the day before the match while checking dope. Nosler Brass, FedGM210M Primers, & 135g Classic Hunter Bullets.

I needed some in 6.5cm when I recently added a rifle chambered in such…..it was available and I bought 200 cases.

A week later Lapua showed on the radar. Go figure, right? This current market is nuts.

I need some .308 & .270Win. Didn't want to unknowingly keep adding mediocre quality overpriced brass, but it sounds like Nosler is decent-to-good.

Hell, I’m getting back into handloading again after a long absence……Winchester brass may be all the “quality “ my arse needs.

I‘m not currently set up for annealing but I am definitely going to do so. Just trying to get my head wrapped around what will be needed (as well as my wallet).
