Anybody used these Nosler .264 BTHP bullets? If so, how do they compare to other popular 6.5mm bullets?

I recently completed a Savage 110 .260 Rem build after 2+ years of low-volume shooting, and quickly found I need to put a LOT of rounds downrange before I get remotely close to matching the capabilities of my rig. I can get these Nosler bullets for less than the price of the 120 A-Max that I've been using thus far, let alone 140 A-Max or SMK.

Thanks for the feedback...

Yes I have. They shoot great. Shot them out of my old custom 30' barrel in a .260 they printed 1/4 moa if I did my part. I used the same loads as 140vld powder wise. But then that rifle didn't care what I fed it. If you can save coin on those you won't be disappointed.

I've been using the Nosler 140 CC bullet for about a year now in my 6.5 Creedmoor and have nothing bad to say about them. My custom Creedmoor shoots them like a lazer beem, 10 round groups less than 1/2". I also use there 168 CC bullet in my 5 308 with almost the same accuracy results. I like them over the SMK and the price is right.

Any of you guys tell me how long these bullets are, relative to a 120 or 140 A-Max?

My barrel (Criterion) evidently has a fairly short throat; last night I found that the 140gr Amax to the lands is only a COAL of 2.905" in my barrel, and at that length almost the entire boat tail is below the shoulder/case wall junction, obviously impacting case capacity. Haven't tried loading any up yet, but I'm curious how other 140s compare.

Sir,
I do not have any Amax bullets to compare, but I measured overall legnth of the nosler cc bullets and they averaged 1.312 overall legnth and using a sinclair bullet comparator they measured .609" from the ogive of the bullet. That measurement was consistant on 10 bullets I measured. Hope this helps. I also just started using these bullets in my 260 and so far they worked fine.

Bryan Litz tested these 140 cc bullets at .550 g1bc. Not too bad considering how cheap they are. When I run out of 130 jlk's, I think I will give these a try.

Just measured some 140 AMAX for comparison to desertshooter's Nosler CC's & got this...

OAL = 1.384"
base to ogive w/ Sinclair hex comparator = .714"

this was averaged for 10 bullets, had a couple that were +/- .002".
