Hey guys,

I'm new to reloading and am up to picking projectiles. I like the look of these and the price but am unsure how they will work on animals. Anyone tried? I'm looking at the 190gr to launch from my 300WM

Anything to help will be great cheers

If you want a multi-purpose bullet, consider the Hornady A-Max line.

That said, if you put a Nosler CC where it is supposed to go, it'll make a clean ethical kill.

Search for the "SMK kills" thread for more first-hand accounts...

Just stick with the tried and true 208 amax and be done with it. Will do everything you need to do with a win mag. Also with its popularity you can find hand load recipes all over the place. Best of luck with it.

Keep an eye at Shooters pro shop, they get in Nosler blems (which are usually overruns, and minor discoloration).

190 AB long range pop up every once in a while. You have to check the site every day and grab them when they are listed. SPS has very high turnover on their stock and they are good to go.

I have used Amax on game in the past and they are very effective, but for the price these blems are worth a shot. Be it 190 ABLR, 180 AB 180 BT or whichever.
