China has nukes, if they get too unhappy ain't nobody gonna be happy. Subversion, deception, turmoil. Only way to get shit done against these countries anymore. Even if it doesn't work they will lock down tighter than a nun's cunt in recoil and their people might reform them at a certain point. Same shit the KGB has been working to do well against America since the cold war, same thing the CCP are failing hard at doing to the free world in general now. Takes a lot of money or time, but it works. It's a game of hearts and dollars really. With energy resources being finite I think it's high time to make sure America and our allies start leveraging our strengths against the more aggressive nations of the world instead of playing put the band-aid on diversity and fluid democracy pick up sticks full time. Ha, big LOL from an industry insider. In 2004, Nortel was already a dying company. Their tech was obsolete 1995-era stuff, and the leadership didn't give two shits about innovation. Everyone in the West had moved on, except the Canadian government (protectionist policies). Nortel was actively pursuing the Chinese market to stay solvent and moving some manufacturing there to cut costs.
It didn't work out so well, and they got burnt. No need to steal the intellectual property Nortel was disclosing to the Chinese Government anyway as the price of doing business there. Avaya was dumb enough to buy them in 09 for the customer list, and the combined company went bankrupt like 4 years ago.
The combined Avaya-Nortel today doesn't even crack the top 10. And for that matter, neither does Huawei outside of the PRC. Garbage tech is still garbage, no slave labor prices can fix that.

Doesn't change the fact those commies are filthy thieves, but just more evidence they're shitty thieves.
It does prove any western company that does any business in the PRC "because of the promise of a huge market" is run by a bunch of dimwitted, greedy suckers. They chose poorly and deserve the punishment they get.
