Rifle Scopes Not sure if this is a descent scope?

I saw some at a gun show. They are junk. They have way too much power and get very dark as the power goes up. Don't spend money on something you will have to throw away when it breaks. Get at least something with a real warranty.

Good to know. I didn't buy it though, I inherited it and was wondering what they were about before I tried fooling with it. Thanks for the info.

Just look for this seal it will tell you everything you need to know about your scope......

I’m glad you have a sense of humor some guys will get bent out of shape over a little joke......lol
Man I get it. If this were archery, I would have no issue distinguishing quality from crap, but I am just dipping my toe into the PRS world. Just trying to make sense of it all. I think it will make a great addition to my line of basic level shooter gear!

This. Even very nice high power scopes will have some distortion at full power, cheap scopes will magnify these issues significantly. For example my Kahles 6-24 had virtually no distortion at 24 power but the Hawke scope I shot at full power (50) felt like I was looking through a heat mirage and couldn’t make anything out. I ended up having to back it out to 30 for decent shooting.

Buy once cry once friend. If budget is an issue check out Nikon Black.
