The tools are limited here, and I don't understand why I have a "Spam" button on some users and posts, but not on others. With the "Spam" button it's one or two clicks to scrub them clean - ban, remove all posts, and I assume report the IP as a known spammer.Looks like some bogus user accounts, dropping posts every few minutes. It'll keep happening until @Tucker301 can delete their asses, and wipe their posts.
-BTW, when I get spam ads from Chinese Companies in my In Box, I hit Reply/quote back to them... if their 'pitch' said "We can make quality washing machine parts for you at our factory in Chop Suey....."
I re-write their original pitch letter as follows and put it below their header: "Dear Sir: We are a small but committed revolutionary faction of anti-government soldiers working to overthrow the corrupt communist regime in Bejing. We are looking for American Partners to supply us with weapons, explosives, copying machines, computers and untraceable cell phones so that we can organize our attacks against the criminals who call themselves our leaders. Tienanmen Square must be avenged and I am committed to the overthrow of the Chinese regime. Please help us with any contacts, materials or donations. Our lives depend on your support." Signed... Original sender
That, of course, appears under my response which is: "I am a legitimate businessman and have no interest in helping you to stage an insurrection against your government and cannot supply weapons or any of the things you are asking for. Please never contact me with this kind of thing again."
I have gotten some very classic responses such as "I don't know how that could have happened...." and "Oh that is not what I sent you, very sorry." Given that every single e-mail or communication in and out of that country is monitored... and probably keyword flagged... game on, cupcakes! Play stupid games... win stupid prizes.
So when you get spammed by the Chinese... be creative? Use the opportunity to communicate with a distant and ancient culture. And let them see what it's like to get annoying communications unexpectedly...
Cheers,
Sirhr
I, for one, wish there was a commercially available offensive cyber tool. One where you could give the spammers a taste of their own medicine, like dropping a virus in their system or frying some hard drives. Cyber is way too defensive on the commercial side, and citizens/businesses should have the capability to protect against intrusions the same as a physical burglary. Some of that (offensive cyber) might tone some of this crap down a bit I'd wager...

I am very much aware of what a bot is...Silly boy. Don't you know what a bot is? It's NOT a real person! It's a piece of program software that's programed to do whatever!
Doing computer retaliation could be a bit pointless and harmful once it starts becoming common place, as anyone really knowing what they are doing will be using several layers of compromised systems that belong to other people to do their dirty work from. Best in those cases to leave them alone for a bit and follow the clues back to the actual people.
What you need to do is have the government willing to follow the money and then track it back to the actual people behind it and do some renditioning of them.

We should pull a Russia or NK and send people to throw some polonium or nerve agent on these hackers.
I would be ok if they did the same to the people behind robo calls. Don't care where they are from or how old they are. Of course I'm a bit behind the times, I think theft should be a capital punishment crime.
While the Russians and the NK guys etc, like these big showy exotic things that supposedly instill fear in others, they usually wind up being a bit of a diplomatic backfire.
Not to mention so much trouble where a simple ice pick would have done the job just fine.

I wouldn't trust that shit.
Just use something like hammer if you're not up to the challenge of generating a shit-load of traffic.
