Had to take my son to Dulles yesterday.
We dropped him off and left the airport around 4 PM.
His flight left around 6:30.
He damned near got to London before I got back home to Southern VA.
South of DC to just South of Fredericksburg was insanity on pavement.
I estimate my average speed for that section of I95 to have been somewhere around FUCKING SLUG!
0 MPH -> 2 MPH --> 15 MPH........60 MPH for a 1/2 mile --> 0 MPH
People who drive through that shit every day and night need to be studied in depth.
When we finally got S. of Fredericksburg and things began to loosen up a bit, it started snowing like mad.
That actually seemed to help, as the people who didn't realize that wiper blades weren't good for the life of the vehicle began to drop off to the slow lanes.
