Hit the range today to dial in a couple things for an upcoming pig trip.

Brought "the one" just to verify zero of my 20" Grendel, a Noveske build, all their parts, barrel, etc other than a Smoke Composite stock and grip. Topped with a Leupold VX-6 HD 3-18X, 50mm, and a Thunderbeast Ultra 7.

I usually shoot Hornady 123 SST, which routinely shoots sub MOA out of that gun. Today I grabbed some Underwood 110 gr as its just sitting on a shelf. They stopped making it in Grendel so I went into a conservation mindset, but realized - might as well burn through it over the next couple seasons.

    1) POA/POI vs the SST - nearly identical at 100 yards.

    2) I realized I'd grabbed a 4 rd mag - I usually shoot 5 - but at $3/rd, I'm doing a $12 experiment, let's see how much adjustment we need... results were enough to make me take a break and reflect on how much I wanted to do that again.

To be fair, my next group was at least... .5 - .6 MOA as I was chasing this dragon, but I think it is safe to say this was a personal best. I know it isn't a 10 round phenom, but I'll take it... with a little luck this is an unbeatable combo in the small frame.

Naturally, Noveske stopped making the Grendel barrels and Underwood no longer makes the ammo - but, as the saying goes - I got mine 🕺

A buddy of mine and myself each got a Noveske Grendel barrel as they were selling out.
    Mine is a 12.5” and his a 18”.
I’ve shot a number of <.5min groups with mine and my buddy seems to always stay well under 1min with his.
If I find another Noveske Grendel barrel sitting NOS, I’m snatching it up on the spot!
    Those things were the truth!
