I currently carry my Bergara Day Pack Backpack and my rifle in another case. I strap my tripod to the pack or carry it separately as well as my shooting mat.

I have been looking at some of the Eberlystock Packs to carry and strap everything to it. Was looking at the H2 Gunrunner pack. It looks like it would carry everything I need. Any input is appreciated.

For matches where I live they’re a bit more spread out. Me and my friends have gone to using converted jogging strollers.

Do you really believe you would utilize the scabbard in NRL22/X matches? At the matches I attend rifles are either in a rack or staging table/area when not on the line.
I know that I won’t use it in the match. Mainly was for carry of all gear from the house to the truck. Then the truck to the rifle racks at the matches. That is what I do now but with 2 trips to the truck. Guess I just need to stay with the extra steps.

The NRL22 matches I've been to (4 individual clubs)....you dont need a pack at all. You might want a transport bag to toss your ammo/gear/rifle in. But once on site....you can almost carry everything on your person.

You only can run 1 bag per stage. So most guys use 1-3 bags at most. More like 1 or 2 typically. Most arent bringing two bipods and 6 bags and 10 loaded mags. You can. But most dont.

As was stated the rifles are either racked when not in use or kept pointed downrange staged off to the sides of stages (safe and bolts back) and then picked up and moved as a group/squad to the next stage (likely feet not many yards away).View attachment 7556026

I usually have all this crap in my now defunct drag bag. The bag gets carried in but its left behind. My rear bag, mag pouch and wrist coach is on my person....maybe my LRF and tethered wind meter if stages leave me questioning yardage. Sling is on the rifle.

Everything else is easily kept in my "match box". This thing has been super handy and cheap. Far more ammo than I need. A pen to write dope down. Ear pro. Safety flag. Spare data cards. Sometimes hand warmers. Flat out works great.

If my squad moves to the next stage. I swap my data card in my wrist coach. Grab my rifle/sling. Grab my range box and I'm moving. My rear bag even can be clipped to the rifle of need be. The sling is usually the least handy item for me since walking is so short. Often I dont even use it.

If I have a major problem. I'll go to the truck where maintenance gear/tools are kept....we are the range after all.

I will be attending my first NRLX match in April. I will obviously be getting good use of the sling as there is some actual walking involved (I may shoot with it too! :D ). I will probably use a backpack to stow most of this crap. I definitely like to carry less shit than more.
That is basically what my current setup is. Just a little different. Guess I’ll keep doing what I’m doing. It has worked for 4 matches as of now. Don’t try to fix what ain’t broke I guess.

Rifle in one hand, 5 gal. pail with screw on lid for all other gear. Waterproof, works as stool. Cut bottom 8"" off another pail and use it inside other pail as divider. Ammo, ear pro, data in 8", Bags, bipod, sling, in bottom. I may be a redneck.

Hey Friends, I live in Taos, New Mexico and would appreciate any information you folks could provide on .22 lr tp matches in New Mexico. I am new to the world of match shooting, but it sure looks like fun and a great way to meet like minded shooters. Thank you in advance for any, and all, information. Please feel free to PM me so I don’t muck up the OP’s post.
