Posted this in the rimfire section and didn't get any replies, so I thought I'd ask here since this section gets more views:
Saving for a budget NRL22 optic. I've got a Savage B22 FV I'll be placing it on. I'm a veteran, so I do get a lot of discounts. I've been looking at the Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24, Athlon Argos 6-24, and this Sightmark Citadel 3-18. I'm still saving, so I likely won't be able to take advantage of the current low low prices of the Athlon Argos Gen I's that are out there.
All these optics are in the same price range for me. I like the Citadel's locking turrets, reticle. It comes with a sun shade, throw lever, and flip-caps. Lumination is a plus. I also appreciate the lower magnification range as this will be used just as much for plinking as NRL22 and plinking will likely be shorter 25-100 yard distances. The 17 mil adjustment range is slightly low when I could get 19 mil in the Diamondback Tactical with more magnification, but I remember seeing a video that suggest the 17 mils is a conservative number (can't find that video now for the life of me). There just isn't much info on these optics. I assume that's because it isn't a high-volume-sales company.
Anyone have experience with one or all of these? Obviously, I'm particularly interesting in the Citadel.
Edit: I found the information about elevation adjustment for the Citadel 3-18x50 MR2, which is the same optic just different reticle. Hopefully that link works.
