Short answer, yes, but you have to wait until about February before they will even consider it...for you, make it March. Nothing personal.

Also, if you have one of the original Nucleus actions, have you actually taken it out of the box and barreled it? Have you shot it?

Also, I’ll need to get a stronger spring. I’m only getting about 60% ignition on FGMM 6creed ammo. While I’ll likely run handloads, I don’t want FTF when on the clock.

When I first got my Nucleus I had a bunch of light strikes. I pulled the firing pin assembly out and flushed the spring, spring cavity and down through the back of the bolt out with 91% rubbing alcohol. A lot of grease came out of the back end of the bolt! I let the alcohol evaporate off and then I flushed everything again with Kroil. I’ve shot about 300 rounds since I flushed it out and haven’t had a single light strike since.

It’s worth a shot if you haven’t tried it. I wouldn’t order a heavier spring until you try it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn’t have any issues with the CCI450’s with a confirmatory load that we’ve used on other 6 creeds, but I may give this suggestion a try before finishing out the last box of factory ammo.

Definitely do! I had lots of light primers strikes too until I dumped mine into an ultrasonic cleaner filled with rubbing alcohol. Cleaning it completely out and haven't had issues since.

That makes sense. I went out yesterday and it was ~15 degrees out and had a few light strikes. The last day I shot before that was in the 40's with no problems.

I've only had one light primer strike with my Nucleus.
It happened in 5° weather when I had the biggest buck I've ever seen in my crosshairs.
I disassembled and cleaned the interior of the bolt and firing pin with brake kleen and haven't had the problem since, no matter how cold it was.

Glad to hear that your issue was addressed and that ARC has redesigned the bolt head, my rifle will eventually get a new style bolt head, it functions without a flaw now, but it would need nice to have the upgraded parts and a lil smoother bolt close
