What do you think of the NULA Model 20 Rimfire? They sell for $1350, and use Remington 700 triggers. I am thinking of getting one with a 16 inch barrel.
Great idea! The pic of their 22 is tiny on their website. I'd like to hear more about the M20.Is it their own action design or are they using cooper actions?
but from the various sources i've read, the company started as a idea for featherweight rifles back in the later 80's. Since then, they've obviously fallen deeply into obscurity.
Hardly obscure. Melvin Forbes had sold and bought back his business from Colt a number of years ago and is busily cranking out rifles. The wait is usually 6 - 8 months. I just placed my second order. Melvin is a peasure to talk with and an excellent source of information. My first rifle is exactly what I've been looking for. Easy to get when you custom order.
I had Melvin build a LH Mod 20 about 10yrs ago.
His own action,Douglas bbl, timney trigger, his stock.
Very accurate squirrel rifle, good looking too.
The mag. latch is alittle loose and you have to watch no to drop the mag.

The Model 20 RFs' are very nice - highly accurate and really cool in their synthetic stock. I have three highly accurate Kimber Model 82s' in .22LR and thought about getting a Model 20 RF because of the synthetic stock.
However, what I really want is a full-size .22 to mimic my X-Ray 51 so I've decided to wait for a 40X repeater clone. It will wear a PMII 5-25X Gen 2 XR CCW just like it's big brother.
Below is a photo of a Model 20 RF Repeater I stole off of Gunsamerica:
