Hey guys. I'm new to nv and I need some advice. I'm looking for a scope mount that will allow me to shoot coyotes up to 300 yards. I'd like to stay under $2000. Thank you
Well, if you can find a PVS-9 SIMRAD and get an actual scope mount to mount said SIMRAD, that would give you a gen3 solution.
A pulsar thermal scope can be had for around $2,500.
Otherwise, an old Armasight CO-x gen2 can be had for under $2k. But I would not recommend that solution these days. Pretty sure you can find a SIMRAD.
Here's a SIMRAD kn253 on top of a Mk6 3-18x T3 on a 5.56(18) with a Luna-ELIR-3 illuminator on the 3 o'clock.
If you want NV that will do the job. You will need either a Spuhr or a Badger mount.

Or get a Pulsar Apex 38mm thermal scope for $2,250 ... that will also do the job ... and thermal can see the critters in and thru vegetation, which is an advantage in the terrain I'm in.
And here's a Pulsar Apex 50mm ... almost indistinguishable looking at it, from the 38mm. I sold my 50mm to my buddy, shown in the pic having just got his first yote with it on his 5.56(16) about 2.5 years ago.
I still have my 38mm, but sold both the 50mm and the 75mm. The 38mm has a wider field of view, so very useful in my close terrain.
