Re: NV mount for aics
The biathlon sling makes carrying a rifle for long distances very easy. Also, if you need to carry anything else in your hands, or are climbing, anything you need two hands for is much easier with a sling that places the rifle in the middle of the back.
The Regular, or Elite Biathlon slings are just about as quick to get slung up in as a regular sling. An added benefit is that the padded shoulder straps also pad the support hand when slung up too.
I understand where you're coming from Jackalope, they may not be for everyone, but there's quite a bit of work that goes into that sling, and I've personally made every single one that's in the world so far and each one is made as good as I can make them.
As far as practicality is concerned that's left up to the customer to determine what will work best for him. The regular sling is our best seller, but we do sell a lot of biathlon slings too.
