I find my Tremor3 is increasingly hard to see and use under 8x in my Leupold 3.6-18×44. Seems an odd pairing for a 1-8× scope. Is there some difference in the stadia width or feature set for the 1-8× or is it the exact same reticle in my Mark5? Also will it be .2 Mil on the 1-8× for the T3?

Go buy that one then ?.

I mean the question is tried and true MILC, or give the MILXT a shot. I’ve got a 7300 acre lease like this that I can call multiple dogs in pet stand. The MILXT would be better for follow up shots.

Personally I have been waiting for the 4-32 with Mil-XT since they were announced. It’s going on a DT A2 in 6.5 creed and 300 Norma. I was wondering why MF didn’t offer all the reticles from the get go.
I'm sure that was a sales strategy. Simpler production and marketing for launch. Plus if it does well they can sell more to the guys who wanted Mil XT and already purchased MilC. Both great reticles. I do like the Mil C more for hunting but I have to say personally on horus style reticles I don't really perceive most of it unless I am trying to use it.

Anyone know what the expected price differences is going to be with the new Reticles?

I’m assuming the MILXT should be same price as the MILC like the ATACR lines. The Tremor3 will obviously have to pay royalties to Horus for use of their reticle, which is where the price increase comes from.

Any word on how well these focus up real close for things like NRL .22 or dry fire in a confined space?
Solid cheekweld and controlled environment should be fine. NX8 can focus to 11 yards and I was able to verify about 30 feet; however, DOF is extremely narrow and parallax is finicky. If you have to do a lot of transitions at different distances you’re going to be messing with your parallax a lot which could slow you down, but to be fair most long range scopes will struggle with quick transitions at closer ranges. I do not shoot NRL so not sure how their comps work. I’ve always been fond of the idea of a supplemental RDS mounted to the scope if I felt I’d need that close range quick acquisition but not sure how that might play out in a competition setting.

There's a great review from @wjm308 in this section. It's pretty much dead on for the two NX8's I have spent some time on. It's a good read if you are interested in one.

The NX8 is a pretty different scope from the ATACR.

Yeah I have no doubt that the NX8 is different. The Atacr is aw some and love it. But I got the ATACR for precision long range bolt gun. I figured the NX8 would be good for a 16” 223 DMR/SPR style AR.

It would be great for a DMR/SPR. We actually got to use these before they launched. One of the first thing I said was that these will be huge for AR-10's.
