Re: NXS Commercial Scopes

I don't know the exact details, but the 2.5-10x24 models for the SEAL SPRs went though something like 6-7 hours of extra testing. Those had some marking on the bottom of the scope.

If I recall correctly the marking was something like "NAVSPEC" and it was 6-7 hours of salt water exposure.

Why?

Re: NXS Commercial Scopes

Maybe he bought one thinking it is mil-spec but isn't?

You can still find mil-dot, MOA adjustment and zero stop 2.5-10x24 around if you look hard enough.......some are being sold as being the same spec as mil issue scopes (but this doesn't necessarily mean they are issue).

Unless I was planning to spend hours immersed in the sea, I wouldn't stress too much.

+1 no problems with mine.

</div></div> LOL!

As for zero-stop originally being LE/Mil only, maybe NF saw the light and realized how unusable a Compact NXS turret is without it.

A few years back a very high-speed low-drag U.S. special operations group ordered a batch of scopes from Schmidt und Bender with Horus reticles and MOA adjustments.
