Rifle Scopes NXS Reticle Focus

I have a new NF 5.5-22x56 NXS

How hard is this thing supposed to be to turn? The reticle is out of focus and I have tried to turn it but it is pretty dang stiff?

Have you losened the locking ring first?

That's what is so dang tight. I just didn't figure it would be much more than hand tight...

Thanks, but I got it. I notice you are from Hammond, we have some property there. It is a pretty part of the world.
