O.P.P.S March Match

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

I vote we give it all to me

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

60+ MPH winds here in Oklahoma yesterday. If that happens during the match it will make those small targets a long ways out really tough to hit.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

better get your wind knobs lubed up. The forecast is calling for 20+MPH winds both days.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

You may want to bring some grease to repack the bearings in you windage knob for the second day because it will be ready for it's 50,000 mile check up.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

I sure hope my gun smith shoes up at this match. I want my gun back. He has been known to hang out around vici.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

You may run out of reticle this weekend, but when u do don't worry someone there will be able to show you how to operate your wind knob

Not shooting these new super duper 192 hybrids. I won't need any wind unless it's blowing 30mph+! ;-)

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

I will agree, everyone did a great job for my first match and I had a great time. I will give credit to the shooters, they did a great job in the horrible wind and I was very impressed. You will see me on the line in the future for sure.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Congratulations to Rich on the win. I know he had to be on his game to beat my
cousin Dean and all of his partners in crime.

Dustin

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Good shooting Rich. thanks to Matt and Eddie and all of the ROs for a great match. I hate to see it go to the dirty Texan, but we did enjoy having him and Lauren come up.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Me and Eddy would like to send out a huge thanks to all the R.O.'s who ran the match smoothly for us Mike, Robert, Clint, Lauren, C.L., Ray, Craig, Thomas and Dillon. We never had to come off our lines to handle an issue from an R.O. or shooter and that made it allot easier on us all. Congrats to Rich Emmons for pulling out the win on the last stage. We could not have hand picked a better bunch of shooters you were all nice, listened to instruction on stages very well and seemed to be having a genuinely good time and hope to see all of you and some of your friends in July for the OPPS Heat Stroke Open.

Here are the results of a hard fought match in some of the roughest wind you will find.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Thanks again Matt, Eddie, Robert, Mike, Ray, Lauren, Clint, Craig, Thomas and all the others who worked or helped put this match on. A special thanks to Matt's wife Cindy for spending two days in a miserable Windy Oklahoma pasture, and had all scoring and scores reported in such a quick and timely manner. As far as i know, there wasn't a single issue with a shooter, squad, target failure, etc. This match was extremely well thought out, executed and ran.
Lots of small (1 MOA or less) targets at long ranges (out to 1034')in 12 to 28mph winds were challenging to say the least.
Congrats to Rich for two days of solid shooting (and the lesson on the Positional Course) and your win. And to Dean, Ben and all the others Great Shooting and a pleasuse to enjoy the weekend with you all.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Another big thanks!! I know this was alot of work but it ran well and ran fast. Congrats to all the shooters for sticking it out in HORRIBLE wind conditions. Congrats to Rich (the dirty Texan) on a great weekend of shooting!!

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Thank you to all involved. I can definitely say I need to work on my wind calls. Worth every mile to drive down and shoot with you guys. Excellent match. Good time all around.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

look forward to shooting with you guys again!

thanks to the ROs and everyone involved in putting it on

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Thanks To Matt Parry and all the OPPS crew for making this happen

Here is a quick break down of the Oklahoma Practical Precision shooters Match March 17-18 (Shoot for the Green)
If you like shooting in scenic and challenging open terrain I would highly recommend getting in on the action and going to Western Oklahoma for some wind school.
This was a great match that offered challenging COF's, that tested shooters brain and equipment to the max. Probably some of the toughest conditions I have shot in.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Great work Rich!!! And that is a damn fine looking jacket you have there. I hate to see money leave the state but you are still and Okie in my mind.

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Matt & Eddie,

Many thanks for an outstanding match. A huge thanks for all the RO's. You all did an excellent job!

I have to say it was the most difficult conditions I have shot in. Coupled with the small targets made it a very challenging match.

Met some really great folks. It was a pleasure shooting with Jerry and Todd. Thanks for all the hospitality you gave us out of owners. What a great bunch of folks.

Will definitely be back to be schooled!

Congrats to Rich and the top 10 finishers, you all earned every shot.

Dino

I can't say Thank You enough to Mike, Robert, Clint, Lauren, C.L., Ray, Craig, Thomas and Dillon for your efforts.

I would also like to say Thank You to the Land Owner, he was a really nice fella & a gracious host.

And to that Dirty Texan Rich! Good Job Brother!

Re: O.P.P.S March Match

Matt and Eddie:
Well done! Just a great match with a great bunch of people. So many people went into making this a great event, but you two had to make all the parts fit together and move forward. You had reallly great RO's, score keepers, and the two ladies who braved some nice OK breezes were nothing short of wonderful. Thank you.
