went by the oakley outlet the yesterday, and noticed they had these gloves for 35 bux. they are comfortable and i can feel the triggers of my guns well enough that i would be comfortable using them for cool weather shooting, or hot weather shooting

Re: oakley gloves

I have the pair of Oakley gloves, they are nice but the nubs that help you pull on the gloves fall off almost instantly. My pair also has a weird stitching on the trigger finger that goes right over the pad, next time I will have to go to a store and make sure I buy a pair that don't have that. As for cold weather I am not a big fan as they cool off fast.

Re: oakley gloves

I read a review on one of the blogs of their new FR model, which looked pretty nice if you have a need for FR gear (and if you multiply the MSRP by .4). I've heard from enlisted guys that in general the Oakley gloves tend to blow out pretty quick though.

Re: oakley gloves

If you guys are military or know someone that is you should check out usstandardissue.com they have great deals and yeah the gloves eventually break apart but after that just buy another pair!

Re: oakley gloves

I have been using a set almost daily for about a year now.

They are almost done because the sides of the index fingers have blown out. A year is about average for me with street gloves.

I am on the fence on if I will get another set.

They are comfortable. They seem to breath well in the heat. I can actually feel air blowing through them if I have my hand out the window driving the car. They also seem to have just enough insulation in the backs to take the chill out on above freezing days. They are NOT cold weather gloves. I always carried a set of thin liners in my pocket in the winter.

The fingers and palms are thin enough for searching, but the knuckles get in the way. It's hard to get your hand into a pants pocket with them on. I almost always pull them off for searches.

They held up well to getting reagularly splooged with hand sanitizer.

Several other guys I work with wear them on the street. They protect your knuckles well in ground fights. Just don't machine wash them.
