OBT and muzzle devices?

I'm waiting to receive my Quickload to do my first OCW and OBT. And was wondering if muzzle devices, like silencers and brakes will effect the equation any? Should you use the effective barrel length to the crown or total length with device? My thinking is the shock wave will not end at the crown but will go all the way to the end of the muzzle. What's the experts think?

I'm far from an OBT expert, but I think that conventional wisdom is to use length to crown, and ignore muzzle device. You could try both ways and see which one is most accurate.
