Working up a new load for my .308 after putting a brake on. I think I'm seeing my OCW charge in the 45.2 area. Can someone confirm that? Pretty new to these. Honestly looks pretty random to me. Shooter behind the stick probably needs more work.

I'll be heading back to the range for another test this weekend. 5 shot groups in .1 grain increments from 44.8 to 45.3.

The group at 44.6 grains is 3 shots. The tear in the upper right looks there is a shot there but there is not. Ignore my scribble. I was trying to find the center of the groups before I found the On Target software.

Re: OCW Help

If you can you may want to include the 44.6 in your work up. Groups 3, 4 and 5 all have similar POIs. Break it down from 44.6 to 45.2 and that will give you 6 more groups. Just my thoughts though. These things can be real tough to interpret sometimes. Also, if you ran the exact same test... will it come out the same?

Re: OCW Help

I got a much better story today. I tested from 44.6 to 45.2 in .1 grain increments. 45.2 looked good on the first test. But 44.9, 45.0 and 45.1 are all right there together. I'm going to settle for 45.0.

I took the chrono with me today too. And I really need to get another camera. This camera phone sucks.

Charge - 3 Shot Averaged - ES
44.6 - 2551 - 27
44.7 - 2545 - 23
44.8 - 2546 - 19 (3rd shot error on the chrono)
44.9 - 2556 - 52
45.0 - 2560 - 20
45.1 - 2582 - 44
45.2 - 2585 - 18
