Overall, I am unhappy with the tests. The first one I only had enough time to run 7 loads. I plan on loading up again and trying out the fire formed brass a 3rd and final time at 200 yards( max at my range). Hopefully this will help me see a little better and solidify the results.

edit: first time shooting my reloaded ammo, first time running OCW test. Pictures should be upright in a couple minutes.

Re: OCW test results

You say it's your first time ever shooting your own reloads, and the first time ever doing an OCW?

51 rounds and you want instant gratification?

Damn son........

I like c4. It shows a positive in both tests.

Good advice! Thank you. c4 it is

I saw no major signs of excess pressure at 47. I know you cant say its safe to shoot above 47, but if I am not seeing signs of excess pressure than I have to assume that its ok to shoot a few more grain above my max.

Hell yes I want instant gratification! I am from the instant gratification generation. Why wait? With today’s information superhighway, I don’t need to wait. That’s the beauty of online forums. I can post my info/questions/data and talk to people who are/have been through the same thing that I am going through. Yes it is my first time shooting reloads. Should I runs batches off this data or bump it out to 200 with uniform cases and see what happens?

Re: OCW test results

I prefer doing the testing at 200 as long as I do my part its easier to read the OCW test afterwards.

That and I prefer 5 rounds instead of 3. Yeah its more money to test but I think the results are better in case you happen to blow it on one of the shots you still have 4 others to prove that its good or not good.

Besides going to range to shoot is fun, so whats a few more rounds
