thanks

Re: OCW Test

If you are satisfied with the results of the test (and no reason not to be) go with the highest load that shows no signs of over-pressure. You'll get a little extra velocity farther out, which will improve the ballistics.

Re: OCW Test

Your profile does not list your location so I have no idea temp. range. So please note if this applies, I have shoot this load for years if or when the temps get to 90-100F RL15 presure will increase. That load in my rifle at 75F is around 2940 fps. when over 100F it could clime to above 3000 Fps. I would have to drop load down to avoid blown primers or case seperation. That in my chamber and rifle just know that load is warm and it can get to be a HOT load with barrel fowling and temps.

Re: OCW Test

You need more data. 4 loads is inadequate for an OCW test. When I do mine, I use about 10-14 loads. It usually yields about 2-3 nodes.

Unischtbar,

Thanks for the info. What grain load of RL15 do you end up using? It does get very hot here in Nevada so I will keep that in mind.
