Odd 300WM Once Fired Brass...

Ok,

So I've got a bunch of prepped 300WM brass and there is something REALLY odd about it...

It's all FC with a year stampted on it...

...and most of it has a circular indentation on it right under the should about 5mm in diameter.

It's a pretty good indentation.

Almost like the weapon it was fired from had a hole in the camber... and the brass got hammer forged into that hole due to the massive pressure.

Anyone ever seen this before?

It has been used for pressure testing.

Turns out I got it from a Navy guy! Grin

I didn't plan on using it.... Primarily because if you use a probe, you can feel the inside of the circle is actually got a lip on it.

Little scary.
