Odd 6.5 CM Federal Case Difference

Have Federal 6.5 CM cases some marked FC 6.5 Creedmoor and some the same but in bolder type.

The bolder type version has a larger case head diameter which required a different adjustment to Co-Ax primer system and noticeably smaller case capacity.

The plain FC case is almost exactly the same case capacity as Hornady brass. The bolder type version is smaller.

I believe the bold version had blue primer sealant.

Be careful out there.

I would bet that the one case is a Hornady case stamped fc. Then fc figured out the Creedmoor is here to stay and started making brass themselves.

That's probably right.

Could be a bad surprise if someone loads a max load into the smaller case.
