Which barrel maker would you choose? I'm going to rebarrel my LaRue Stealth upper with either WOA's 18" Predator contour or Odin Works 18" DMR contour. I'm torn which one is going to provide more accuracy. Which one would you choose, and why?
I wish Rainier made a 22 Nosler barrel. I have some of their ultramatvh barrels and love them. Currently, Rainier only caries the Odin Works barrel I mentioned in 22 Nosler. It's $289.75 and includes an adjustable gas block. The WOA barrel is only available directly from WOA and it's $340 with a gas tube and (I'm assuming) non-adjustable gas block. They weigh the same.
Since I'm going to shoot it suppressed 99% of the time, the included adjustable gas block is appealing to really tune it in. But, I can always buy an adjustable block later on.
I respect your opinion/experience, Padom - I'm guessing you'd still opt for the WOA?
You might want to check out Proof Research, they have an all steel line that is offered in their Camgas (+2" rifle length) that is lower in price than their carbon line. My thinking is a 223 is easy to over gas, a cartridge having more powder capacity and the same bore size is pretty much guaranteed to be over gas, before adding a suppressor.
