At the range the other day, a friend had his Oehler 35P (6 feet long) set up. Asked him if he'd seen the Magnetospeed, he had read about, but not seen/used one.
So we strapped the magnetospeed (MS) onto his F class 6XC, and fired a 10 round string over both chronographs.
Won't bore you with the shot by shot details. Bottom line was the MS average was 11fps higher than the Oehler average. MS extreme spread was 1fps less than Oehler ES, and MS standard deviation was 1fps less than Oehler.
If you assume the bullet slowed down 10fps between muzzle and Oehler, they basically agreed 100%.
We were both really impressed.
