They shipped, using their account, and they want you to handle the claim? If that's the case, will fedex even deal with you, since you weren't their "customer" in this transaction?
...Snip...
DTA is making it right once again. I pray to God things work out this time.
Now I'm off to Dr. with my girl to see if she's pregnant.
Wish me luck(that she is NOT)
How about you go fuck yourself. Once you've been in my shoes you can tell me what to do. You've been here two years and you think it's your place to dictate to others what to post. LOL GTFO
Like I said above, DTA is making this right and going the extra mile to get this sorted out. I am very appreciative of that.
Take it offline with this punk. If you have a problem with someone talk to them. Your chicken-shit approach paints you as the Victim you are.
I hope Creature is happy and well taken care of. After talking to FedEx yesterday, I found that it was generally the shipper that makes a claim, it doesn't matter who the FedEx account is with. I called Nick and he talked to Ryan, who in turn obviously called Creature and let him know what was going on and that we would file the claim to get him up and running a bit faster.
To take it one step further, I took his new barrel out last night and fired it for accuracy out of a new A1 Chassis. 3 shots were .3 MOA, 5 shot group was .396 Center to center. Far exceeding the accuracy guarantee. With the 5 rounds I used to foul the barrel, 3 round group and 5 round group. Plus the 2 rounds for function firing...... Creature, your barrel has 15 rounds. All Ammo was factory DTM 308 w/ 175 SMK's
See I can do math too!
I just grabbed a caliper and measured the ID. Came up with about 1.38 inches. A 1.5" can will absolutely not fit.For those with A1s, will a 1.5" diameter suppressor fit within the new A1 forearm?
Short barrel 338 LM question:
Having never loaded for the 338 LM before, I have been researching loads. For those of you with experience with the 18" 338 LM, what idiosyncrasies, if any have you found when developing a load best suited with this barrel length? With H1000, Retumbo and RL-25 being impossible to find lately, I am going to try RL22. It is a little faster burning than the others. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone,
I'm about to take possession of a new DTA SRS covert in 338 Lapua. I don't plan on shooting more than 300 yards with it (the limit of the ranges around here) for a while. So I'm not the typical DTA enthusiast I guess. What drew me to the weapon is how compact and powerful it is, and the fact that it's a bullpup. I don't ever plan on buying another bolt action rifle. What I'm looking for is a fixed power scope for it, like an ACOG. I can't find anything online or on this forum about people using ACOGs or Trijicon optics on it. So my questions are: has anyone here used a fixed power Trijicon with a 338 Lapua barrel? Which models are recommended/not recommended? Anything similar I should also be looking at? Thanks in advance for reading and considering my post.
I didn't get what you mean there? do you mean it might bite you with the short eye relief and the recoil of a 338 lapua
I don't see the point of getting a fixed power or an ACOG.
I don't see the point of getting a .338LM if the furthest you're shooting is 300 yards. At 900 it's only just getting started, so why not a .308WIN or 6.5 instead? You can always get a .300WM or .338LM later when you have access to BLM land or longer ranges.
Absolutely. So the 50bmg ACOG with eye relief at 2.7 inches would still be dangerous?
I'm trying to round out my collection of rifles with higher-powered calibers, that's why I picked the 338 Lapua. It may be overkill for 300 yards, but I wanted it so I bought it.
I think it is a valid argument. What about anti-material/vehicle or to defeat the higher level rifle body armor inside 300yds, what better then a super accurate .338LM?
But I do agree that I would opt for at least a 2.5-10x42 scope instead of a red dot.

Just picked up an A1 from another Hide member in the For Sale section here. Can't wait to get her out and put some rounds down range. Came with .260 and .308 barrels. Not too familiar with the .260 round, but just gives me a few more things to learn.
Thanks Bas402, I grabbed that elusive Retumbo!3rd Generation shooting has (1) 8lb der or Retumbo left as of this post but Dogtown is right on the (2) VV's as a great alternative.

Anyone know if the DTA SRS with the Soft Case/Shooting Mat will fit inside a Pelican 1720 without foam? Thanks!
