Very big deal especially to those who have spent time in a uniform.
Trying to keep soldiers out of harms way is a very big deal, yes. I just meant that I didn't think it would spread like it did.
Shout out to Nick for great soft case and shooting mat combo. Tons of pockets which hold just about everything. Does anyone know where I might get a single barrel sleeve 22" or 26". I carry 3 barrels with the soft case! Thanks

Glad you like it sib1948. We made some prototype molle pouches for the barrels and they looked like ninja sword cases. We never ended up making production barrel pouches, we thought about doing a rollup barrel pouch kit that would allow multiple barrels to be carried in a round pack.

Mine also produced metal shavings initially and I was worried at first. but after putting 4 rounds of .308 into one hole prolly .35 inches at 100 the other day I'm really not too worried about it. Took awhile to develop a load but turns out that 16" barrel loves 43 gr 4064 with 178 amax seated to 2.79. Groups REALLLY tightened up when I seated the amax deeper which I'm still trying to figure out. But hey if it likes cheap "hunting" bullets I'm not complaining!
If anyone wants to trade 178's for 185 juggernaughts or 175 smk let me know!

Well the SAC 260 barrel I picked up shoots lights out of course. I called my vendor and cancelled the Gen 1 .260 conversion I've had on order with DTA for almost 14 months. I hope I don't have this much trouble getting Gen 1 parts in the future...
I haven't even gotten W2''s and I'm already thinking how to spend my return...
I'd stock a few! That's a request I get fairly often. Just about all my customers have more than 2 conversions for their DTA.
I don't know vegas very well. Someone with more intel want to propose some ideas? It's not like you have to look far for restaurants or drinks!
I'm shooting Wed. and Thur. How about Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill, 2nd floor @ Harrah's just south of Venetian Convention Center, Tuesday 1800 hours. Cheap-ish cold beer in mason jars, good food, nice waitresses, etc. I'm sure open to other suggestions but that's fast and easy. Takers?

Any recommendations on a 6.5 SAUM barrel? SAC perhaps? I guess I am finding myself trying to hitch a ride on the 6.5 SAUM band wagon... I am liking the barrel life on a decent (relative) long range rifle. Have fun at the Shot Show I am VERY VERY bummed I can't make it. My 4th Son came early and is in the NICU so trip canceled. Little guy is doing much much better, but such is life... you never know what it will throw at you.

That sounds good to me. That would let everyone get all googly-eyed at the show all day and will be a good time to get some stress out after day 1. I'm stayin at the wynn encore, so that's close enough. I know most people stay right down there by the Sands somewhere usually.

has anyone use that barret bors system on the dta? and if so was it worth the money since it limits what glass you can use with it.
The BORS will work with any rifle. As you said, it's limiting factor are the optics which can be fitted with it.

Nick, if you could get around to making a few of these with or four pouches, I bet they'd sell like hot cakes. Good project for some of the other vendors here on the Hide, but know DT knows how to do this right!

It seems to me that a manufacturer would want to generate interest before SHOT Show so that customers would already know they need to stampede to the right booth.
