A friend asked what I thought about offsite firearms storage. I've held non-NFA firearms for friends while moving/divorce/etc, just like letting my kids store their apartment junk in my barn. He's talking longer term, probably in an anonymous/safe location. He was likely thinking of a scenario concerning something like an M4 carbine and potiential legislation. I just told him not to put anybody in a position where they owned something they shouldn't or for a known felon, and the usual - keep it away from kids/others. Thoughts?

I have considered something along these lines. When hurricanes Ivan and Katrina hit I know there was some class three stuff caught up in it, who knows what happened to it. I came-up with the idea of a secure facility where high value stuff could be kept. Perhaps something along the lines of what a bank does with 'vault boxes' (lock boxes/). As long as it's legal, it'd be safe. Offer secure transport, guarded, controlled facilities, etc. Specifically for these types of items: class 3, art, jewellery.

now that is a gun room I am jealous of not that if i owned it I would ever make it known just missing the stacks of ammo guess that is in the trailers on blocks behind the house yea for over indulgence ... and god bless America and mama

Your not even close, you need to think about it a little more,...

No, I’ve thought about it just fine. Many of us are plenty trained. Yeah, caches of weapons in different places for you to go stand your ground, blah blah. I’m not an idiot. I still think people need to stand your ground before it gets to that point. That’s what I’m driving at.

Really, OK,... you keep that train of thought but, as you age you might find the long game an hedging your bet is always the winning move. Lets just say for shits an grins your home burns to the ground, a F4 + takes a stroll threw, or your away an can't get within 20 miles of home.

I'm glad your trained, but thinking things threw will get you farther,....

Don’t worry, I’ve got stuff stored all kinds of places, not to mention big bro stores all kinds of goodies within miles of my place. ?
