Thirty-some years ago I'm standing in line at the commissary on Kadena. A very haughty looking lady walked around the cordon to the head of the line. The young lady at the head of the line spoke up and told her the line started "back there." She replied, "I'm Colonel Alpha Hotel's wife" The Young lady responded, "I'm Staff Sergeant Nobody's wife and the line starts back there." A number of folks applauded and the Colonel's wife left.
