Been eyeballing one of late (Scorpion EVO S1 Carbine), and was wondering who had one, and what their impressions were of it. I currently run an AR 9mm (Colt mag variant, with mag block adapter), but am getting the itch for something to screw around with for plinking steel.

    Any inputs welcomed....

I had 4 of them at one point or another starting with the first gen.

I have since sold all of them but they were a riot as others have stated but I had issues with all 4 at various times running them supressed.

Some issues were mag related, some was just the nature of blow back operated designs... Wayyy dirty. The newest gen has a slightly better feedramp geometry but I still struggled to get subsonic 147s to feed 100% out of them.

Supersonic supressed they all ran about 80% of time. I had one that refused to eat ANY hollow points period suppressed or loud.

Unsuppressed they all ran like a top with the exception of the one with hp's.

Trigger leaves something to be desired and honestly didn't think the hbi trigger spring upgrade was worth it... Still sucked. Ak safety is a must or at least a right side delete.

With 115 gr ball they just run.

    Just my experience

I’ve got an OD pistol with the tail hook brace on it that I’ve really enjoyed. With the irons I held under 2 inches at 35 yards without much issue. Eventually I’ll put it on paper at 100+ just to satiate my curiosity.

It’s been totally reliable with a wide array of ammo. As mentioned, the trigger blows, I’ll be getting an HB spring kit and I’m waiting for a better looking flat shoe to hit the market.

I snagged mine for under $700 and at that price I love it and highly recommend it to anyone interested in a little sub-gun.

Interesting. Mine has been 100% reliable suppressed or unsuppressed with 115, 124, and 147 grain ammo. With 147 subs it sounds awesome.

I just loaded 300 rounds this morning and heading to the range. Scorpion SBR with an Octane 45.

Those 300 rounds will go fast.

Have a micro barrel and a pistol handguard in order to shorten it up since it stays suppressed at all times.

The HBi trigger springs and AK safety are a must. I would also STRONGLY suggest a new pistol grip. I went with a yeti works but he was the only one making them when I put mine together.

I probably have 2000-3000 rounds through mine so far without any issues.

I love mine and got it when they were first released. SBRd it, HB industries theta trigger, charging handle, duck paddle mag release, safety selector and Yeti Works hand grip, etc. Ended up getting a carbine hand guard for it also. Shot it few times in USPSA. Have thousands of rounds through it and no issues.

How's that working out for you? I've seen a few of the 9mm broken online.
mine is the gen 2.5 crb in 9mm. it is working perfectly and i get about 3moa with lawmen 124gr. benched and with bipod and rear bag, no malfunction of any kind. only complain is mrs want a white one. pain to clean every time after range. people keep asking what it is when they walk by or as if they can touch it.
