Old German Scope on Craigslist

Just doing some poking on Craigslist to see what detritus might be lurking about. And came across this.

GERMAN Zf4 SCOPE/MOUNT

German GerZf4 scope by Voigtlander with Waffenamt 214 mount. Markings include GwZF 4,, serial #16075 ddx triangle. Adjustment knob on top with cover. Glass is excellent. Reproduction scope covers...

No idea what it is, period or if it is worth a fraction of this.

But if someone knows what it is, maybe they need it?

WWII scope for the G/K43 rifle , looks like a later-war rounded mount. I believe @TheGerman was looking for one for his G43; I dunno if he already picked one up or not.

Might be real..photos suck. Would need clear photos of the markings to determine if replica or post war czech reissue.

Explain to me why the government does not prohibit publishing an announcement about the purchase and sale of weapons and accessories for him on the craiglist.

I generally oppose the open use of weapons.

First part, because it is legal to advertise firearms online and sell them with in the definitions of Federal, State and local laws. Craigslist says you can sell a small portion of accessories. No firearms, firearm parts, ammo, reloading components, or magazines. Scopes, slings, cases, and some other accessories seem to be okay.

Second part, you may be on the wrong forum, but I enjoy good conversation.

I don't think "She" was going to stick around anyway. She no longer has a membership here on the Hide apparently. FWIW, I can understand people who don't like guns and prefer to stick their heads in the sand as to how to protect themselves. It's when they pull their heads out of the sand long enough to pass laws that limit me, and many like me, from protecting myself that I get annoyed.

In any case, the original ad is gone. Shame, that is a piece of history.
