Been looking for a while and stumbled onto this one. .308 with 18" barrel and a Timney trigger. Super clean, I mounted a Burris MTAC 4.5-14. Didn't disappoint, great shooter.

I been wanting one, didn't expect to find one this clean with a barrel length that really fits the need. This one spends time on my ATV rack and when I'm in my blind it's perfect. I have three .308's, all have a purpose.

I agree. Could have been a game changer for them. It wouldn't have been but a few years more and their reputation for accuracy would have caught with them. Probably would still be making one of the most accurate off the shelf rifles out there.

We've had a 21" 243win in the family for years. Even with the last 3" of barrel pitted it's a solid half MOA shooter at 200y. It's my go to hunting rifle.

I really think Remington screwed up when they stopped making these.

Theory was they were outshining the 700 so bad they quit to preserve their expensive model.

My Dad has one, was a 22-250, now 6mm brx w benchmark barrel. He was shooting the staples out of a buddies target that was making fun of him for rebarreling a "cheap crap rifle".

I've often wondered why no aftermarket action maker has picked up the design and ran with it. They didn't seem to ever make a bad one.
