I have a very old Weaver 4x Marksman scope and still works but fogs up. The front Objective you can see the deteriorated o-ring/seal coming apart. My question is any of you have experience with trying to waranty an old Weaver? I have 2K Leupolds and some hi/dollar Burris but I kinda like this one and dont want it replaced would rather have it fixed to put on my old K98. Any of you tried their waranty on ooooold Weavers?

Re: Old Weaver Scope Waranty

Well I called Weaver today and they gave me the same as Mike wrote http://www.ironsightinc.com/
along with the same number posted on that site. Will have to call them tomorrow. Wonder what thats gonna cost? Would be really cool if they could put in a German Post reticle, That would really work for the 98 and I always loved that reticle. Thanks for the replies

Well I talked to them today and they said cost is 75.00 to basically rebuild it and yes they can change the reticle and the fee for that is 25.00 more. Not bad for a someone who wants to resurect one of their old favorites. The bad news is they are 5 months behind!

I got a Weaver K4 from them and had them replace the reticle with a German pointed post type. I put it on a Mauser. Works good.
