I DVR'ed it so I was able to fast forward thru the ads, so I didn't waste a whole hour of my life. Can TV get any worst? Oh, I forgot Sons of Guns!

I thought it was better than "Top Shot"... At least it was based on actual ability and not a popularity contest.

See, I Would rather watch top shot. The host of the army show is a world class doush, just listing to him how he talks to the people! "You go to the extraction van" or telling the delta guy to "about face". Stop trying to sound military please. Most special forces guys I know would say "Dude, the van is out side". As another member of the hide likes to say, this show is gay as a bag full of dicks!

the speed challenge was a joke. 100 ft of rope and a 1/4 mile run. ropes can be a bitch if you don't know what you're doing but a 1/4 mile run?
put em' on the darby queen and see who can hold a gun steady!
the strength challenge was entertaining though. reinforced doors/walls will smoke anyone.

As soon as they introduced the 4 guys I told my wife, this is cake. The over weight US Marshall is out first, the kid posing as some kind of terminator is next, followed by the "SWAT" guy, with the Delta guy cleaning up. This is why i stay out of Vegas.
Soon as I saw he couldn't get off the rope my night was over. How many messages you think his team guys left on his voicemail.

I had to MUTE the tv while "super host" was talking. "Go hot!", first thing that came to mind, "This guys sure sounds like a fucking idiot! "

I know I'm an idiot...
I actually was excited to see the show from the commercials. I really thought it could be fun. I didn't read anything about it before hand I just set the DVR so I wouldn't miss it and waited.
Host = Horrible. This guy made The bullet whisperer, Mack Machowicz, voice sound good. It's almost as if he had to take a huge dump every take and didn't want to relax and talk in case the load let go.
Damn, was that a buzzkill. Sure, I should have known they'd screw up a potentially cool concept. I let myself be fooled by hopes and dreams.
I also think it's fixed. That or it wasn't a real Delta guy, I guess here's another spot I could step into something but when I'm screaming at the TV the correct technique for things this guys undoubtedly trained to do. I have to figure he retired do to extensive brain injury.
Though my extensive training as beancounter has me prepared for the onslaught of carpal tunnel and how to make a tourniquet from adding machine tape and a ruler. I'd still like to see a person who supposedly was among the highest level of thinking man's army figure out affix the sheet over the bed and use the flat side to slide the keys over to him, rather than try to stick one of the four leg posts to the key ring.
Ugggh, it was almost like they were trying to let the kid win so he could make his DADT statement at the end.
I also am offended at that statement, not because he's a nancy boy, but I took it as a slight as if the military is losing all of these fantastic soldiers because they couldn't join and declare they love men. I say bullshit.
Sorry for the rant. I was just really looking forward to a decent show that help educate people on the capabilities and training of elite soldiers.

The only ok part was the shooting...and yes, at the end the kid says they wouldn't let him in service because he was a rear admiral on a fairy boat....WTF, liberal war games......
