All of my guns have picatinny rail bases. Starting with a base like that shouldn't one-piece scope mounts (like DNZ's Freedom Reaper) always be superior to separate rings?

I would assume so because on a properly-constructed one-piece there's no risk of misalignment in any dimension between the front and rear ring.

But there aren't that many one-piece mounts out there, so I must be missing something!

Personally I like separate rings because just in case you want to get a larger objective or possibly a 34 mm tube it would be a cheaper venture than getting a one piece base for each scope. Get Badger rings and don't look back. I have them on my GAP Crusader and they stay.
