Photos Opening morning Nov 28th 2009

Wacked a little 11 point mule deer this morning!!! He hit the ground at 0750 and is now hanging the shop. This is the first deer I have shot with the VLDs, didn't get a pass through but the vitals were toast, don't think I would chase bigger game than deer with them though. The rifle is a Ruger frontier in 308 that I beded, floated and lapped the barrel to get it to groupe nice. The load was a 155 Berger VLD on top of 43 grains of RE-15, FC brass and Fed 215 primer at 2.815 oal.

that is good shooting,what kind of rest did you use,i dont see a bipod is why i ask.

the side mirror of the land cruiser. It's like my mobile hunting blind.... with a heater and cup holders. I'll go back and laser it but I think the shot was around 150yds.

thats funny...a buddy of mine and i were at the local hunting shop and the owner asked what kind of deer stands we liked...my buddy replied four wheel drive...
