I am having a hard time finding recent information regarding this question; do the AAC Titan-QD cans experience lockup issues similar to the reports on their other QD cans? Has the issue been resolved or is this ongoing?

Thanks!

I suppose I should clarify; I'm not worried about the can becoming too tight and not coming off. I'm concerned with the can's QD system tightening up properly upon installation. There has been talk in the past that the AAC QD systems wobble or do not tighten up consistently.

I have one, had it on my AI AXMC 338. If I had to do it again, would of got the TBAC 338. The QD mount on this is ok, but its more for military application rather than precision work.

Thanks for the responses! Craigos, why do you say more fore the military and not for precision? Is it because you've experienced consistency issues?

QD systems are a weak link for a precision rifle. They are an extension of the assaulter system, actually, they are more a Quick Attach vs a Quick Detach. You are not quickly detaching a hot can and the release gets hot too. Honestly, there is no reason to quickly do anything with a can.

The 90T fixed the wobble in most cases. I have the Titan QD for my PSR too, and it's a great can but super expensive originally. I have brought it to private classes with guys who bought the PSR and did not get the can and swapped it on numerous system without issue.

I have seen levers on QD cans break off, which is why you see guys default to a system like TBAC.

A precision rifle can should be about precision vs quickness. Suppressors can enhance accuracy or they can screw it up. Picking the rifle precision rifle can is important

The Titan is a decent can if you can find it at a discount, but if you want the best precision rifle suppressor TBAC

Thanks Frank, that makes loads of sense. I have the opportunity to trade into a Titan-QD. I currently have a TBAC 30BA and a Sandman-L and didn't know if the difference in QD mounts have caught up to being negligible. I think I like the idea of staying with TBAC as there is no question. Plus the Titan brakes are so damn expensive!
