Sidearms & Scatterguns Opinions on Karambits?

My Spyderco Mili got stolen recently, and I have been looking for something different to replace it. Right now I have it about narrowed down to the Emerson CQC Karambit. It is an awesome knife by all accounts, just looking for opinions on Karambits as a whole. I know there is alot of back and forth as to how effective they are for defensive use.

My other choice is the CQC15.

Terrible choice in reality. Complete marketing hype period.

Your better off always extending your range with a longer weapon / edged weapon. Sabre grip is far better & gets more Cuts period than Kerambit. Big hoax regarding it's combative effectiveness.

as always people who have not had the real training or experience will chime in & offer nothing other than their non experienced opinions.

Bottom line, get a 6"-8" fighter or fighter utility for the majority of your edged weapon needs.

Better choice than the midget slicer.

Don't confuse the realities of ranges of combat. In Hubid range (extreme CQB) they work but keeping it real if you had to or got into an edged weapon fight how many are really going to want to or have to get in that close ?

Trained & sparred countless hours, literally countless straight up. 9 times out of 10 the person who had the longer edged weapon got there first with the first cut because of his EXTENDED RANGE. Just like a Jab, Cross, thrust kick, roundhouse etc. they get there first ahead of uppercut, hook, elbow, knees etc. Same principle & concept. Think Optic rifle vs. pistol ;-/

The difference being people can eat kicks but no one I have seen to date, likes to eat CUTS first.... tends to spoil your mood if you catch my drift.

Keeping it real for all the Strider Kerambit suck asses...
