Found one for sale at $3K in like new condition, never fielded. I think this is before Trijicon bought them fwiw. Or am I better off with something like a Thermion? Hard to find info online that shows video.
I reached out to Trijicon to find out if they still provide service. The owner thinks not which is a deal breaker for me but will wait to hear from them directly.
Thanks but I've already got NV covered with a PVS-7, West German Army Orion and an Armasight CO-X. None are 'high speed' but do the job! Looking for a thermal now. Still, if I ran across one of these for $500, I might have to add another; thanks for the lead.
I contacted Trijicon a few weeks ago and got the go ahead....just sent in my rma via email to upgrade my mk2 35mm to mk3 60mm. Will report back once they authorize the rma.
I just spoke with them and they will NOT service the 'Original' MK IR Hunter; first he said they did and then called me back as he had mixed it up with the MK2. So, I'm still on the lookout; not gonna roll the dice on a $3K optic no matter how good that price might be.
That's not even a good price on a MK1. If I'm not mistaken, the MK1 used a 320 flir core and I've seen those sell for around $2k. At the $3k mark, take a look at the pulsar trail xq38.
Thanks. I don't need the aggravation so have decided to wait until Black Friday and try to find a score around then/christmas. Will save some more money between now and then and just see what happens. This is like trying fit a square peg in a round hole.
And besides, it'll give me some more time to get schooled.
