Rifle Scopes Optic for inside 300 yds

Re: Optic for inside 300 yds

That 600 is a classic hunting rifle. IMHO, I like to put hunting scopes on hunting rifles. Unless it is the rifle is a hybrid or dual duty(hunter/shooter).

A Leupold VX3, Redfield, or Even Swaro, Ziess, S&B Klassik and up if you desire. In the end it is your rifle.

To me nothing screams "ninja" like a tacticool scope on a sporter rifle. Don't get me wrong, the PST is a nice scope, just better suited for a AR than a wood and steel rifle.

Re: Optic for inside 300 yds

Those Remington 600's are a classic.
I couldn't find one, so I went for a Model Seven in the rare .300 RSAUM. Great lightweight and short barrel for mountain hunting where most shots are under 300 yards.
One of my favorite hunting scopes is the Leupold VX III, 2.5-8 x36mm with Duplex reticle. I have 4 of them on my bolt guns (.223, .243, .308, .300 RSUAM Mountain Rifle, and also 2 in the Mark 4 illuminated on AR-10's.
They are light, short, compact, good light transmission and color clarity and priced right at $399 most everywhere.
The Mark 4's are much more expensive than the VX-III's though.
I just ordered the new VX-6 2-12x42 FireDot and can't wait to try it. Good reviews so far. It's going on my Remington 700 Ti Mountain Rifle also in .300 RSAUM.
