Rifle Scopes Optics Advice

Just getting back on here after some time away from shooting. I recently decided to sell my “intro to long range gun“ but I am unsure if I’m going to hang on to my scope or not, Razor HD gen 2 4.5-27....
I love the scope but now I have it mounted on a Copper Excalibur that weighs in at 7 lbs and now I have almost an 11 pound rifle...not exactly what I was going for. Just not sure I want to stay with a 3 pound scope on a rifle that will be 80% hunting usage.

Here is what I’m aiming for:
Low end mag below 5x
+90 MOA ele adj
Zero stop
Prefer MOA reticle (just more familiar with them)
Illuminate
Not looking to jump up into over $2,800 for different scope
Right now, I am leaning towards Leupold Mark 5 3.6-18 because the NF NX8 doesn’t seem to have locking turrets. Anyone got any knowledgeable advice...Would be very appreciated!

I’d consider a 4-16 ATACR. LaRue has one with a mount for $2400. Sport Optics is doing a 12% promo too.

ATACR have locking elev turret? I haven’t been able to get by a shop to check them out yet.

The x42 has the zero hold which has a button that needs to be depressed to move over or under zero. So I guess yes and no. Can’t set to a specified amount and lock it. From what I understand, the MK5 is this way too.
