Rifle Scopes optics list

can some one with more insite to optics or with exp put to gether a list post it on what optics you put on your rifle ?

maybe top 5 optics around the 500 mark,, +- 100 or so

im looking , for a scope and i thought i had it nailed down to the millett trs1 but not so sure now

i like the 30,, not big on 50+ objective i would like something more in the 44 obj range ex large knobs side focuse, clear glass ffp retical would be nice ex

any thing would be good couse really ther are so many out there and i dont have the exp with them

any help would be great im only looking to shoot out to 600m or so would like to see it 16x at the least up to 20x

I dont know where you can touch a reliable FFP scope with mag up to 16ish for around 500.

The Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10X44 comes to mind based of some of your criteria but not all.

Here are a few more that might work but again none that meet all your criteria.

SS 10X or 16X (fixed power, not the best glass but 100% reliable)
Vortex Viper 6.5-20X44 (good all around scope for the money)
Falcon Menace (warranty and reliability scare me)
Nikon Monarch (lack of internal elevation travel)
WOTAC (proceed with caution)

My advice is to buy a SS and save towards a better scope. Your budget isnt that far off from some nicer scopes that have entered the market lately. Really the better quality and features are starting around the $750ish mark with the newer Weaver Tactical and the Vortex PST. Obviously these are not top notch but they are great for what most guys need and do. Good luck

If you want ffp in that range, well falcon is about it. Hit and miss on reliability and such though. Sfp check out the vortex viper (not PST) very nice for the cash. Other options, all sfp, wonder optics wotac, bushnell, some older leupys (not so tactical), NIKON buckmasters is decent, weaver makes several that would fit also

I know that you said that you would like to keep the objective around 44mm, but just thought that I would pass this along. Weaver's 3-15x50mm Tactical scope will be going on sale at Midway for $675 (regular price is $750) on Monday, 28 Nov for one day only. That particular scope has recieved a lot of attention lately as it's reputed to have decent glass.
