Origin Build Question

Hey everyone, might be a stupid question but I need a sanity check.

I have an Origin action and proof prefit. I went to install and the bolt won’t even close when it’s hand tight, much less actually torqued down.

Anyone else ran into this or am I just missing something here?

Not closing on a go Gauge, or just not closing at all with an empty chamber?

Not closing period. Without anything. And just hand tightened the action.

Ah yeah I thought about that, I just left the house so I’ll try to get a few when I get back.

can you post pictures? I’m assuming it’s a shouldered prefit, right?

hey guys,

Here some pics. This is just barely hand tightened. To to get the bolt to actually close the action is almost free spinning.

And yeah it’s supposed to be a shouldered prefit.

Edit: spelling

Recoil lug
What he said^

You need to install the recoin lug before you install the barrel. Also, you should put a small dab of high temp anti-seize on the treads before you screw the barrel into the receiver, or you might gall the threads on both parts.

Make sure it's the right recoil lug too. There are different thickness lugs made for the tl3 barrels to headspace on an origin action.
