Forgive the simple question but my google searching failed me. I want to double check headspace on an Origin shouldered prefit. Is removing the firing pin enough or should I remove the extractor and ejector prior to checking headspace?
Should be golden, but gunsmiths are humans and people make mistakes, no matter how good they are. It could be as simple as an engraving mixup with the wrong caliber or a shipping screw up. I'd strongly encourage anybody to double check headspacing the first time a shouldered PreFit is screwed on an action, even if it's just with the brass and tape method.
