Forgive my ignorance; but I’ve read countless threads on the cock on close with the Origin action with trigger tech triggers.

What triggers work as a direct drop-in that negate said issue? Or has Zermatt worked out the kinks and they are plug and play now with all triggers?

I have run trigger tech diamond and special, both in 2 stage on multiple origins. I switched to bix n Andy triggers because I prefer them but didn’t notice any difference in bolt feel between them. I have 3 origins and all feel the same.

Cock on close of my origins is slightly more than my Lone Peak fusion but much better than impacts I have felt in my opinion.

Issues? I have two TL3s and an Origin and no issues with TT triggers. They feel the same as my Timney HIT or Calvin Elites. I think a lot of it is people looking for issues and closing the bolt with a finger and super slow to try and find something. When actually using the action like it should be used you will not feel anything.

I agree that thinking of cock on close as a problem is a misrepresentation of a problem. I believe that it should be treated more as a personal preference situation for the individual.

We have cocking pieces that deviate from our standard size that accommodate for cock on close being realized in a system. The Origin in it's out of the box condition from us will time within 0.010" with an out of the box TriggerTech trigger. That's generally indistinguishable when the bolt is run at a typical firmness/speed.

If you run the action gingerly, you're going to feel like the bolt close effort is more than it should be in most cases. If you run it like you would in a match setting, you'll never feel 0.010" of COC and are not likely to disturb the rifle from manipulating the bolt.

We'll help time any system, but the juice isn't worth the squeeze in a lot of situations, especially with the Origin and TriggerTech triggers.

    Thanks - Ray
